When I was first introduced to the world of Krynn, I was in middle school minding my own business when all of the sudden A whole new world was set before me. Dragons and magic, elves and dwarves where all I cared about. The world of Dragonlance was everything I never knew I was missing. It was a year later that I learned that the books were based off of a dungeons and dragons campaign. Thats when I realized how much story telling power D&D really had.
The Setting
With Shadow of a Dragon Queen, we are going to get not only a Dragonlance source book, but one that is specifically set during the War of Lance. Not only will this source book highlight new characters and introduce the Knights of Solamnia, but it will allow campaigns to engage in epic battles set in a wonderfully vibrant setting. Imagine riding your own dragon into glorious battle, defending the realm from the forces of the Shadow Queen herself. They even include iconic characters from the world of Krynn and his evil horde of draconian soldiers.
Features
Shadow of a Dragon Queen will include many playable options from the world of Dargonlance including the kender race, a Knights of Solamnia background and a background for a mage of High Sorcery. There will also be stat blocks for many villains and enemies of Krynn including the death knight, Lord Soth and the Dragon Queen herself. This will also mark the first time that you can get both the digital and physical copies in one bundle.
Are You Ready for War?
Having grown up on Dragonlance and all the stories that came out of the world, I am certainly looking forward to adding a lot of this material to my campaign’s.
